The historic county of Angus, also known as "Scotland's Birthplace", is home to many Scottish heritage sites, including Glamis Castle, the childhood home of HRH Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, and Arbroath Abbey, where the Declaration of Arbroath, a call for Scots to rule themselves, was signed in 1320.
