"And where a tear has dropped, a windflower blows"
A strange little flower indeed is the wood anemone. It has a long and strange history, from ancient Egypt and ancient Greece to modern day. It is said that the flower first came into knowledge when Aphrodite's tears fell on the ground after the death of Adonis and was born of misery and lost love. This strange pink and white wildflower symbolises protection against evil and good luck. When the rain is set to fall, the wood anemone closes up, silently in the woodland.
These incredible and unforgettable wildflowers were collected from the woodland at the bottom of my garden and carefully preserved with Botanic Isle's own signature preservation methods.
